Vinesauce Re-Brand (A Two-Month Project)

Apologies for the radio silence last month. I’ve been working on what feels like everything at once — homeowner woes, work is crazy, and a personal health scare, too. (Thankfully, everything is fine.) But in the midst of all that, I kept my nervous mind busy with a re-brand and another site design.

I am a member of an online gaming community called Vinesauce. The streamers in this team all bring something very unique to the site, and my husband and I often watch their videos for hours on end. It brings me relaxation, entertainment, and a ton of laughs.

So when it came time to stretch my design muscles in August (and unexpectedly into September) I decided to do a full site re-design and a bit of a brand re-vamp for this community that’s given me so much.

I took into consideration the functionality of the current site and attempted to plus up its usability and user-friendliness. I also tweaked a few capabilities to better highlight the streamers themselves via homepage streaming portals and a billboard-style contact page, as well as highlighting the community members more through integrated art submission and shop pages.

Some of these willy-nilly design choices would (of course) incur all kinds of technical updates, but I aimed for the stars with this one. Cheers to better UX, a flashier design, and a wonderful online community that deserves all that and more — here’s my Vinesauce re-brand.

Re-designed pages include — Homepage, Community (Booru Gallery and Lightbox State), Team, Contact, and Shop.

(To any Vinesaucers, please forgive the forbidden reference on the homepage. I just had to. Also, I hope you like the site.)

For the logo re-vamp, I just gave a little bit of spiff to the classic Vineshroom. Oh, and added the qualifier “Quality Streams.” Because it is. Every day.*
