Bailey Sarian Card Set

This is a story about how I fell in love with a woman named Bailey. I’m obsessed, it’s amazing, and she inspired this month’s design project.

Bailey Sarian is a professional makeup artist and YouTuber. Her channel has many entertaining GRWM (“Get Ready with Me”) videos, a few vlogs, and some product reviews, as well. But what brought me to her, and what I believe to be the crowning jewel of her channel, is her weekly “Murder Mystery and Makeup Monday” series.

I’m singing the amazing theme song right now. Sorry you can’t hear it. I’d type out the lyrics if there were any. It’s mostly a series of noises with a very dramatic end note. It’s everything.

I began watching Bailey’s videos in the last few days of quarantine, preparing my mind and house to get back into the office. But instead (and I think Bailey would understand and applaud this), I got very, very distracted. And completely obsessed.

Bailey is down-to-earth, hilarious, quirky, and beautiful with or without a face of impeccable makeup. I love watching all her videos, but the MMM&M videos inspired me to create this month’s project. Along the journey to 70-ish episodes and 1MM followers, Bailey’s coined some catchphrases and established some tropes along the way. So I took them and turned them into little tarot-inspired cards that I’m planning to print, mount, and frame in my office. But for now, here are the digital mockups.

I realize it’s a bit of an inside joke, but I’m inviting, welcoming, and pressuring you to come inside. As Bailey says, “If you are interested in true crime and you like makeup, I highly suggest you hit that subscribe button.”
