(Hunt a) Killer Theater Branding
Guys. I am fully addicted to Hunt a Killer. And what’s better? This season takes place in an Art Deco era theater in the 1920s. All the secret codes are lyric-ends from Cole Porter’s “You’re the Top.”
COME. ON.
I’m hooked. And it got me thinking about the branding project I did for my hometown’s Art Deco era theater a few years ago. They’ve moved on to a new version of the branding since, but I’ve always been really proud of this design. I don’t do everything from scratch, but since this was a subject I understood down to my bones and back again, I did a ton of sketching and finally came to the computer ready to vectorize something well thought-out — a simplified portrayal of the facade’s beautifully preserved marquee. One I have been lucky enough to be featured on more than once.
Support local theater! And get Hunt a Killer! If you’re looking for something to do in quarantine, both of those things are sure to bring a smile to your face and goosebumps to your arms.
