Dr. Alton Neal Sparks, Sr. 1932 - 2022

Lots of folks knew him as Dr. Sparks.
Almost everybody called him “Sparky.”
But to me, he was — and forever will be — Grandman.

I’ve been so fortunate for my entire family to entrust me with the task of designing the memorial service presentation for my grandfather, who passed this month. Using photo restoration software — some AI features doing the really heavy lifting — I’ve created a leisurely walk through a truly extraordinary life. One fueled by passion and purpose, and filled with accomplishment and inspiration. I’m so proud to have been part of this experience and to be part of his legacy of driven, creative, smart, conscientious, and hard-working survivors.

I love you, Grandman. I hope that train dropped you off in Texas.
