AEW: Dynamite Hype

So, by now you know I’m a huge wrestling fan. Not like collegiate wrestling (which I actually do love but it gives me heart palpitations) — professional wrestling. If you don’t know, cruise the site. There are lots of blog posts and shout outs on other pages. I. Love. It.

So, when All Elite Wrestling burst onto the scene a few months ago, I lost my mind. As one does. An amazing stable of performers, a CEO who’s seen and done all the right things in all the wrong ways under other leaders, and a mission to be the best — and the best alternative to mainstream wrestling — a fan can get. I was smitten. Then the first PPV happened — and I fell deep, deep in love.

If you’re not into wrestling, that’s totally cool. But unfortunately, it’ll make you a lot less sensitive and receptive to the groundswell that’s happening in the industry. Things are flipping upside down. And however you like to look at it — investment dollars, advertising dollars, creative concept, employee rights, human rights and representation — the game (no pun intended) has changed in every avenue possible. In fact, AEW just held the first-ever sensory inclusive event in professional sports history. I. can. not. I can’t.

So I made these posters. Because I’m so excited and it feels like AEW’s cable TV debut (on October 2 on TNT, by the way) will never arrive. Watch it, record it, or come over to my house to party about it. Because it’s a huge deal and I’m so. very. excited.
